Regular / Annual Courses:
Leeds Neuroanatomy Courses
A two-part cadaveric dissection technique of operative approaches used in neurosurgery
Date: Annually, check course webiste for exact dates
Location: University of Leeds Medical School, Leeds, UK
Course organiser: Mr Atul Tyagi
These courses have been developed in partnership with the School of Biomedical Science , Leeds University and the Leeds Neurosurgical Unit. The aim being to increase the clinically relevant Neuro-anatomical knowledge of Neurosurgical trainees. The courses are designed to allow maximum hands-on experience in the Anatomy Skills Laboratory supervised by Neurosurgeons.
The courses are split into two parts:
- Part I: aimed at the Junior Neurosurgical Trainee within the earlier years of their training ST3- ST5 (UK). The focus is on the anatomy of commoner Neurosurgical approaches.
- Part II: aimed at the Senior Neurosurgical trainee towards the later part of their training ST6-ST8 (UK). The focus being the anatomy of more complex approaches.

Leeds Surgical Neuroradiology Course
A two-day teaching course aimed primarily at neurosurgical trainees
Date: 27 & 28th September 2014 (APPLY NOW!)
Location: Weetwood Hall, Leeds, UK
Course organiser: Dr Tony Goddard, Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist, Leeds General Infirmary
The course, which is now in its fourth year, will provide the opportunity to learn neuroradiological approaches and differential diagnosis of various common neurosurgical diseases. The course will provide sound neuroradiology teaching to trainees to support them through their exams, and in routine clinical practice. It will also provide understanding of conventional and advanced neuroradiological practices through lectures and small group tutorials. In view of maximizing neuroradiology learning this one day course is restricted to a small number of participants who will have an opportunity for one to one discussion with experienced neuroradiology consultants.

Neurotrauma and Major Trauma - Update 2011
Date: 5th April 2011 - 7th April 2011

Following on from the success of the 2009 meeting both TARN and the National Neurotrauma Symposium aims to deliver an event that will bring a range of international keynote speakers to provoke discussion and address the current issues facing trauma care, head injury management, rehabilitation and clinical audit.

Northwest Regional Training Day - CNS Infections

A single-day course that runs as part of the Northwest regional training scheme for neurosurgical trainees. Speakers include consultants from neurology, neruosurgery, neuroradiology, microbiology mycology and infectious diseases. Topics covered will focus on the common and no-so-common CNS infections that are relevant to neurosugrical practise.

National Neurotrauma Symposium & TARN Conference
